Getting to Antigua

Wow. This journey was the best trip so far. Even if I felt like puking, it was still amazing. It all started with a long trip of sailing, then to a very windy experience. But the best part of that, was when Nikolas spotted a big splash in the water. Then he announced it to all of us and we all looked. My mom and dad say it was a blow hole. I believed that. Then I asked what it was from, so my dad said a whale, and my mom said from a dolphin, then my mom was freaking out because the dog was outside and she thought the dog was going to scare the dolphins away. And she was right about there being dolphins! Oh how gorgeous it was to see the beautiful dolphins jumping out of the water in line. There were at least seven of them. First one jumped then four jumped, then two jumped. And it was absolutely amazing, and I will never forget it. Anyway, my mom was right about there being dolphins, but the blow hole was from whales! The whales were humongous. One was super white, so when it went under the water it looked super bright blue, and the others were navy blue. There three whales, all swimming right in front of all of our eyes. So amazing. The thing that was most surprising to me, was when one navy blue whale dived under flapping his tail up, way up high in the air. Anyway, later we had to put the sail down, so we did. But then something was caught in the corner of Nikolas' eye again. It was another whale! Before he could say anything, the whales tail was already high up in the air. Then my mom started screeching, and yelling to get the camera, so it would be easy, not to forget that moment. It was all so amazing. And it will hopefully be impossible to forget that wonderful day.

Vidan and Niko

They are the cutest little five year olds I have met so far at Antigua. There is Nicko, he has brown fluffy hair, and he is super sweet. Also, there is Vidan, and he has blond hair, and he is also sweet. When I said five year olds I mean they are five year old twins! They don't only speak English also. They speak Spanish English and another language that I forgot. Ao when they talk to us, they keep saying what, so we have to say whatever we are saying, differently. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to talk to them. Anyway, the little twins that we had met, came with us to the beach yesterday! First we all got in the water then after five minutes we decided that it was too cold for us. It was mostly too cold for Nicko because he was sick. Anyway, so when we got out of the water, we dried up and started making a hot tub! First what we did was we made the border line for how big the hot tub will be. Then we made a wall to block the waves from making the hot tub walls, cave in. Then we thought of making a ditch, so we could make the walls without the waves crushing the wall. But then I asked if I should make a ditch and Annika said no because the wave weren't big enough to even reach the wall. Anyway, after working on the hot tub and wall for a while, we ate a little snack and had french fries and burgers and fish and chips. Then we swam a little more, when Dienna, the mom of Niko and Vidan, finally got in the water after reading a book for a long time. Then later we packed the car and got ice cream.  Then we came back to the marina and watched Robots and part of Fantastic 4. Which reminds me. Maybe we could finish it now! Bye!

The Most Free Day

Today was the most free day I have had in a long time. I have just gone hiking and climbing on rocks to see a really big waterfall. In fact, it was so big that you could feel the mist from it if you were standing one mile away from it. Anyway all day it was so great because first we went to the waterfall and went swimming in the waterfall water, so it was freezing cold. So then after that, we went to another amazing place that I will never forget. It was also in the water but this time it was even more cold. In fact it was so cold, it must have been iced water! So what we did there was we swam in the freezing water that felt like death, it was so cold. And when we got in we were rushing and scared in a way, we were all breathing really super fast. So when we got in the water we weren't just in the water we went into a cave when we got in the water. In the cave there was a tiny water fall that had a really strong current so it was hard to get to where we could stand, but me and Nikolas had courage in ourselves. So we got to where we could stand and there was a little ledge where you can jump of so we did! But before we did, this guy was in front of us and instead of jumping off of the ledge, he climbed all the way up the walls and then jumped! I was in awe and so were Nikolas mom papa and Mikai. I thought that he was gonna hurt himself while jumping in the water, because i thought it wasn't very deep! But it turned out that the water was almost twelve feet deep! Well anyway, I went twice, and I was the only one out of our family that went twice! It was so fun, and I kept on saying, "the water is not cold, it's just boiling hot so it feels like it's freezing but really not! So don't worry!" but I was just joking around. But it kind of helped me at least! Well anyway after that we had lunch and smushed brownies then we were of to the botanic garden. And there we has lots of fun climbing up a tree that has vines on it. Then we slid down the vines to get down. It was way harder than it looked. Then after that we came here, back to our boat and now we are doing school work and stuff. Then next, we get to go to the pool! Before I wanted to go to the hot tub from after the caves because we were freezing after. But now I am super warm and would love to go swimming, in the pool. Well today was so fun, and I will never forget this amazingly fun day.

Another Day in the Wind
An experience of a boat life

We have just left Soufriere and we are now on our way to a different place. I was just listening to my mom telling us that Soufriere means sulfer in French! I don't know why it is called that, but there is a volcano that smells like rotten eggs, and it has sulfer in it. Anyway we are still at the same island, just a different place. The next one after the next one we are going to now, we will be going to a whole different island, and the waves will be gigantic and fun to ride! Thats on Monday. Anyway, I hope it rains tomorrow where we are sailing because when its raining and the waves are big, it gets really exciting. But for now we will be roaming around on St. Lucia. Can't wait for Monday!

A Girls Magically Amazing life

The life of this girl is way too amazing. Candy and sweets, at least once every month. Two adorable puppies that would let her cuddle and love them anytime. A mother and father, that are the best parents she could ever want.

Her parents are strong, handsome and beautiful, super nice, patient, caring, definitely important to the girls' life, and mostly they love the girl with all their heart. In fact, they are so kind that they thought of their families' future and what they would want to remember the most. A year long trip, living on a boat, with just their family. In the warm, tropical, beautiful, Caribbean. Flowers, animals, insects, sea life, children, carnivals, and tropical fruits and vegetables. But mainly, that family got to experience the most phenomenal trip than anyone will ever get to go on.

When that girl grows up and lives on her own, she will never forget that whole year. Because that is the year that she learned to love washing the dishes, sweeping, and helping her parents with anything they need help with. She never wanted to complain that it was too hot or too humid, and that her ankle hurt or that she was too tired and didn't want to help. She was always bright and cheery. She always offered to help, and soon, she came to love it. And that was what made the whole entire year, fun. And it's all thanks to her parents.  She would not know what to do without her magically amazing parents.

All the Fun

We have been on this 43 foot catamaran boat for fifteen days now. That is five more days than I am used to. But that's a good thing because those five more days that I am not used to, have made a big difference in how the journey is going so far. We have gone to an amazing volcano called Soufriere, it means soulfer in French. Even though the volcano smelt like rotten eggs, it was so amazing to see a real live volcano that is gassy and all. Especially since I was kind of learning about volcanoes in science back at home. Another fun thing we did near the volcano was, we got in our bathing suits and soaked our selfs in the steaming hot, brownish gray, rocky, slimy, soulfer of the bubbling volcano. My dad got big handfuls of it and splashed it all over our backs, watching as the slimy gooey stuff drips down our backs. Both of those will not be forgotten of this trip. Those two activities were my second most favorites so far. But the most exciting thing we have done so far was going to club med. We went to stores and got sandals and shoes for two euros, went swimming, and went to eat a great big lunch. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish up my dinner, I was so stuffed. But I made it through dinner...and breakfast...because we actually didn't have breakfast, because that's when we left to come back to Rodney bay. And I was not excited about that at all. Because I threw up! And it did not feel good at all. But I was super excited to come back to Rodney bay only because we got to take warm showers and see the three little birds. The three little birds is the name of the boat that another family owns. They are doing the same thing as us, except for three years and they sold their house! There are three boys, Griffin, he is eleven years old, like me and Annika. There is Jake, he is ten, and there's little Luke, and he is five. It was so great to play with them, like when we always went to the beach or the pool, or just watched spiderman. It was always fun when we played with them, we never had nothing to do when we were at Rodney bay. Well, it's all been so fun here in the Caribbean. And I hope it stays like this.

The Flower?

Outside, swaying in the wind, a flower? No, it can't be. Too strange to be a flower. Is it a food? A fruit? It must be a tropical something! Light, pink, pedals fly off as I hear them speak to me, "goodbye." they whisper in a spooky voice, almost sounding wicked. The pedals almost like a spike ball on a stick. Except the stick has more little, smooth, green, twigs hanging on it. Hanging up. All together, it is a smooth, green, stick with smooth, green, pedals and twigs hanging up, with pink, pedals on the top, looking like a spike ball, and one more thing. There are orange, pollen balls on orange, delicate, sticks pointing upwards. I wonder, what is this strange creatures name? Now it's time that I start guessing. It must be a flower, because of the colorful top. But the twigs on the green stick are very thick. They almost look like...no I must be imagining...no, they are! They are mini, baby, bananas! Wow, I never imagined that a banana plant could look like this. The bananas flower must be just a part of the whole tree, the rest still sitting in the forest or the jungle. But the other part, sitting right in front of me this very instant, was pulled of as young bananas. Never got a chance grow into sweet, long, yellow, grown bananas. But at least grew into the beautifulest flower, that is also partly a very delicious food. Now I ask myself, one more time. Is it a flower? Or is it a food? And where has this beautiful thing grown?

The Best Ice Cream in the Caribbean

"Chocolate and lemon sorbet please." I suggest. The most delicious ice cream, getting handed to me. Half chocolate, hiding the delicious sour sweet lemon sorbet, my favorite. With help of the white delicate plastic spoon, one spoonful of the chocolate heaven enters my mouth, changing my feelings to happiness, making me want to stand up and dance. But I don't, so I won't embarrass myself. But I would, if the day was 104 degrees, because that would show how happy the magical tasting ice cream makes me feel. I couldn't live without this ice cream. It is heaven for me. The most tasty yummy delicious treat in the caribbean. Yum!

A Good Random Poem

Up and down and up and down.
I follow as told to do.
Tiptoe and flat,
Pick up basket while on tiptoes.
Run run,
 faster faster,
Before its too late!
Quickly,
Get in line!
Ballet curtesy.
Run to the front of the stage,
Quickly!
Now throw the flowers farther then ever before!
That was good,
But it has to be better.
That was only practice.

In Martinique

Today was a great day here in Martinique. It was amazing because we went to a volcano. It all started out in the taxi. First we drove all around in the taxi to different places. The first place was where we stopped for a while to look at a beautiful church. Then this guy gave us flowers and told us to give him money. Next we stopped to take pictures of us in front of the sugar cane. I got to eat some. Then we kept on driving up the steep windy road and past some banana plants and a few cows. Then we got to the top of the mountain finally. There was a big intena that we past on our way up the path. We were hiking for fifteen minutes, passing all the bright colorful leaves and flowers. It was so foggy I thought I was in a big fog machine, and it seemed so much colder than usual. Anyway when we got back down, Annika and my mom were behind, so we waited. When they got back to the taxi they told us that they saw an animal. They said it looked like a weasel mixed with a ferret. Then the taxi driver told them that it was called a mongoose! When he said that, I thought it was some type of monkey. Anyway, then we left to a rum factory that smelt like alcohol.  It was disgusting. When we got there, we swung on a tree that had vines all over it. It was so fun that it was hard to leave it.
